Mafia Wars Fighting Explained..
The questions "How did I lose?!" sometimes has a very straight forward answer or takes some analysis. The precise formula used is up for much debate and Zynga isn't talking. We will not debate the formula here. But basically there are three main factors to the outcome of a fight: Your attack and defense skills, your mafia's size, and your Mafia Attack and Defense strength.
This guide will focus on when you attack someone, not when someone attacks you. I hope this guide will help some people understand the success or shortcomings of their combat build.
Definitions
Attack Skill: The attack power that can be increased with skill points. On your home page and profile page this will show the base number you have added to the stat with your skill points, and the bonuses from collections. On the fight screens and inventory screen this number will include your Top Mafia Button man bonus and occasionally the highest attack skill boosts you have.
Defense Skill: The defense power that be increased with skill points. On your home page and profile page this will show the base number you have added to the stat with your skill points, and the bonuses from collections. On the fight screens and inventory screen this number will include your Top Mafia Bodyguard bonus and occasionally the highest defense skill boosts you have.
Tip: Some people follow the advice to keep both their attack skill and defense skill at least 2x their level each.
Mafia Attack Strength: This is the addition of the attack stat of all your weapons, vehicles, and armors up to 501 of each. This number only takes into account the attack value of the items. Items are chosen from highest to lowest up to the number of mafia you have for each category. This number only increases when you add an item that is more powerful than one you already have, or if you add another mafia member who can use items you already possess. The number will usually increase by the difference between the item replaced and the item added.
Mafia Defense Strength: This is the addition of the attack stat of all your weapons, vehicles, and armors up to 501. This number only takes into account the defense value of the items. Items are chosen from highest to lowest up to the number of mafia you have for each category. This number only increases when you add an item that is more powerful than one you already have, or if you add another mafia member who can use items you already possess. The number will usually increase by the difference between the item replaced and the item added.
I give the above definitions so we know what we are talking about as the guide goes on. If I say attack or defense skill I'm talking skill points, if I say strength I am referring to the inventory and loot items. They need to be distinquished from each other.

Mafia Wars Moscow Tips
Well I almost finish with Moscow now. From episode 1-3, choosing a side is somewhat not a big deal, since the special loots that you can get when choosing each side are even weaker than Cuba loots (but I think choosing Vory seems to bring you more benefit). But from episode 4-6, you have to be more careful choosing a side, especially episode 6 since the special loots are much more powerful than Cuban loots. So I write down a note about what can you get for choosing a specific side

In order to be ready for the release of Bangkok, players must locate three loot items. Once these items are in their possession they will be given their passport to travel. The passport will not be sent to players until Bangkok opens for business. The loot items needed are:

* Yakuza Sake
* Thai Note
The jobs they can be looted from are:
* NY - Soldier
* NY - Enforcer
* NY - Hitman
Players can find the loot items by doing the jobs on these levels that are marked with a golden elephant. It may take several times doing the job to acquire the item but once it is acquired a notification displayed showing it has been added to the Bangkok list of necessary items.
Choosing Sides
Zynga offers little information on how to choose sides other than the message on the Bangkok home page statement concerning the fight for control of criminal markets of Thailand. To help choose sides, some background information on their behaviors and typical activities can be useful.
The Yakuza
The Yakuza’s origin in Japanese syndicated crime traces back to the 17th century. According to Miyuki Sundara of the Organized Crime Registry the Yakuza are an all male organized crime group. Their activities include blackmail, illegal gambling, casinos, prostitution and smuggling. These activities will be what the jobs in game play will be based upon.
The Triads
Originally the Triads started as a resistance to the Manchurian Emperor. According to the website Gangland.net their name comes from the unity of the Three Harmonies Society, the union of Heaven, Earth and Man. Criminal activities included counterfeiting money and later counterfeiting products such as watches and other pricey items, as technology advanced they added pornography and piracy.
Both the Triads and the Yakuza are powerful crime syndicates that control the underground world in Bangkok. Players in Facebook Mafia Wars can use these basic ideas on the groups to determine which side they want to join when they start Bangkok

My Short Review of Mafia Wars Blueprint, Does it Really Work?
I love Mafia Wars. Don't ask me why. It's a silly, very basic interfaced game that really only draws so much attention because people want to see how their friends are doing. But, for millions every day, it is an entertaining diversion that allows them to show off how good they are at networking and completing simple tasks.

Mafia Wars Cheats and Strategy, Cuba Tier
Collecting Guerilla Squads while in the Cuba tier was a good approach at one time,when it was the best offensive and defensive armor in the game. You could kill two birds with one stone. Now it's considered a weak play compared to the Moscow loot. Due to the good payoff from the G-Squad job, spending a few levels on the job is not a bad thing. The drop rate improves after the job is mastered the third time. In the long run, a better approach is to get to the Moscow tier and loot Shturmoviks (episode 4) and Executive Overcoats (Episode 6). In the meantime, ask for donations from friends. If you're a low level player, lots of your mafia will likely help out. Even if you're not low level, put top Cuba loot in your wish list and randomly help out your mafia members with their Mafia Wars collections. They will likely respond with gifting back loot that is on your wish list. As long as you aren't looking for top Moscow loot and lotto pieces, most people will do that.
Most players ask this question about the Cuba Tier of Jobs.I have finished the jobs. When I sell my products from my Business should I pay $500,000 for the político corrupto? The answer is yes, you will need tons of these as you level up. One job uses eight every time you do the job. Most people also go ahead and buy 501 rebel snipers when they can. This means you have max bribe penalty and you wont get as much money from jobs.

Mafia Wars, get your Mafia Back
Lots of you complaining about lost some of your mafia.. Well here are the steps to get 'em back (will update more infos if I have more) :
1. Login to your game
2. Go to "MY MAFIA" tab
3. Choose "RECRUIT"
4. If you have mafia invite just accept them all.
Thing will be back in normal
Not working??? Try second way :
1. Login to your game
2. Go to "MY MAFIA" tab
3. Remove one of your mafia
4. Click on your MW home page
5. Refresh your browser
Things back to they were before!

The Root of Success in Mafia Wars
There are so many people playing Mafia Wars with so many different styles of play that it might seem impossible to become one of the truly good ones who are capable of knocking off his or her opponents with ease and practiced skill. Yet, there are some very specific things you can do that, if done properly, will help you be successful at the game no matter what your play style is.
Building Your Mafia
Your mafia is the single most important thing for you success in this game. If you want to do well, make sure you have a decent sized collection of family members even as you just get started. This can be done easily enough by contacting all your friends, going to blogs and swapping mafia members with other mafias on forums. Never spend your Godfather points on getting new members however. It's not worth it.
Getting Godfather Points
Godfather points are the root of all success in this game. The attack power and defensive boosts you get from loading up on these points is enough to help you take on enemies 50 or 100 levels higher than you. That kind of power up is almost impossible to come by any other way. The key here is not to spend cash on these or to give away your real contact info to the special offers that the game wants you to fill out. Rather, use a fake email address and sign up for as many that don't require credit card numbers as possible.
Playing Every Day
If you play the game every day you can do a tremendous job of tapping your energy when it is available and getting the most out of your account. Additionally, you can play the lottery daily and get a much better rate of return on your Godfather points. You don't need to play hours a day, but a 10 minute login every day will do wonders for your play.
If you do these things, are ruthless with your opponents and never fall behind in the game, you will quickly find that you can blast your way to the top of the Mafia Wars hierarchy without having to pay any extra cash, or wheedle any favors out of your fellow players. How To Reach Level 200 In Less Then A Month!
This has been my strategy for my account now...
0. Choose Maniac as your character.
1. Is to find a good pimping group then make your family to 501.
2. After you have a 501 family already vault the collections that give energy bonus ask your family to gift you these collections, that wont be a problem because people in mafia world helps family members that ask politely and do put it on your wishlist so that it would be easy for the gifter to send you the collections. Here are the collections that gives energy bunos
a. Diamond Flush Collection- +1 energy bonus
b. Cigars Collection----------- +2 energy bonus
c. Painting Collection--------- +6 energy bonus
d. Barber Shop Collection---- +4 energy bonus
e. Great Horse Collection---- +7 energy bonus
f. Rum Drinks Collection------ +8 energy bonus
3. After you have vaulted this items you have sufficient energy to finish basics jobs easily.
4. Dont buy Casinos or properties people would not bother you if you dont have properties to be bother with.
And the first rule is *Do not do to others that you dont want them to do into you* so dont rob people's properties would pissed them big time.
5. Master *Street Thug* it gives a Pistol Bayonet = +4% damage dealt in fights.
6. Master *Associate* it gives a Bugatti* = -7% damage received in fights.
7. Every time you level up put all your stats in energy.
8. Important also is to only buy your GodFather Points with stats don't buy energy refills.
9. If you reach 35 go to Cuba.
hen starting making your business thier and always remember to only attacked in CUBA not in NY when you reach level 35. Always used all your stamina for fights.
10. Master *Enforcer* Money Plate = a 5% discount on property purchases.
11. Master *Consigliere* it gives a Helicopter = a 30 second reduction on your energy regeneration timer.
12. If you want to master BOSS JOB fast you need ITRs and Blackmail Photos so ask for family members to give you some. And also start finishing all collections by asking family members for collections stuffs that you still dont have.
13. Master *Boss: Golden Throne* = 2x the energy regenerated per regeneration period.
14. After you have mastered the Boss job focus all your energy to 999.
15. After that put all your stats in Defense till you reach 300
16. Life to 300
17. Stamina to 50
18. After reaching 300 defense put all your stats to 300 attack
19. Life to 300
20. Remember always fight in cuba and finish all your jobs thier.
21. You notice that I put my attack stat last because you dont have a problem with attacking people. Just attacked people that has less than 250 mafia family and you should always win in attacks.

So, rather than wonder if I'd be forever at the bottom of the pile (I'm just a bit competitive after all), I decided to check out the guide and see exactly what it was that the gurus were expecting me to do to become one of the top players.
Turns out, it's not that hard.
That's not entirely accurate. These tips are genius, and well researched. But, when you read them, you're going to hit your head on the keyboard and wonder why you never considered what you could have done to become one of those very gurus we all ogle.

Link Pattern for your Profile.
Ok, I have tested some link patterns to go to your Mafia Wars profile.. One pattern works on FireFox browser but doesn't work on Google Chrome.
Everytime you try to go to your mafia profile, it will just take you to your own MW profile, right?
Now I have found it.. universal link formula that works on every browser (I have tested on Google Chrome, IE and FireFox).
